Activities in this space center on the Dire Wolf of the Pleistocene era (a tooth was found in the site's care that paleontologists identified as a Dire Wolf's tooth), the Early Woodland period (1000-300 BC) to late Woodland period (AD600-900) based on archaeological evidence found on the site, and the native plants and trees identified by the French botanist, Andre Michaux who visited Col. Tipton in the spring of 1795 and 1796. Outdoor signage showing his journeys and some of the native plants he identified still growing in the wooded area that will provide the visitor with background for a walk on the Andre Michaux Trail.
